Caring Company Award
Sanctuary Resorts has recently
been designated a Caring Company by the Hong Kong Council
of Social Service.
The Mission of the Caring Company
Scheme is to build a caring community spirit through cultivating
corporate citizenship and strategic partnership between the
business and the social service sectors.
Sanctuary Resorts also shares
some of the same objectives as the Caring Company Scheme which
are; to raise the public awareness of good corporate citizenship
and its contribution to a caring community, motivate strategic
partnership initiatives between the business and the social
service sectors and recognize companies which demonstrate
good corporate citizenship.
One of the founding principles
of Sanctuary Resorts was the demonstration of the balancing
of business and community activities and involvement, and
the positive contribution a profitable business can and should
make to support the community in which it operates.
The KELY Support Group (www.KELY.org)
proposed Sanctuary Resorts to receive this designation.
As a believer in Hong Kong, and the future of Hong Kong being
in its young people, Sanctuary Resorts has been a supporter
and sponsor of The KELY Support Group since inception.
Andrew Jones as a Founding Board
Member and now Chairman Emeritus of The KELY Support Group
became involved through his youth activities with Rotary International
and The Rotary Club of Kowloon. It was the unique peer support
programs that made KELY different from the other youth services
and due to these factors KELY staff and volunteers were able
to better understand, address and support the needs of the
young people in the community.
We are appreciative of
being recognized as a recipient of this designation and will
continue to support socially responsible community activities
and organizations whenever and wherever we are able.
