Yoga classes offered by
The Omsense International School of Yoga

This course is designed for those with absolutely no knowledge of Yoga. It is aimed at gently relaxing the mind and body, releasing mental, physical and emotional stress. This is a very basic course beginning with simple warm up exercises and moving into a half-hour relaxation session. It is recommended for all ages, especially the unfit, stressed, inflexible and elderly.

This course introduces the student to the techniques of Hatha Yoga. By releasing physical and mental tension vast resources of energy are liberated, revitalizing the mind and body, leaving you calm and refreshed. This involves simple physical stretches, breathing and relaxation exercises, and an introduction to meditation. This course is recommended for those who would like to learn the techniques of Hatha Yoga in order to improve their general mental and physical well being.

The Advanced Hatha Yoga course is offered to those who have been practicing Hatha Yoga for at least one year, and have a good degree of physical flexibility and mental awareness. This course teaches the student that the science of Hatha Yoga is a discipline, whose aim is to ensure perfect health by physical and mental purification, leading to spiritual evolution through the control of the body and concentration of the mind. This involves advanced Asanas, Pranayama, Yoga Nidra, Pratyahara, Dyana and Dharana.

This is not a gentle Yoga class. It is a physical and mental challenge to help you connect to your inner Power. Power Yoga is a challenging flow of postures that strengthen and tone muscles, improve balance, coordination and flexibility while promoting relaxation and mental focus. A great stress buster. It’s fun, it’s sweaty and be ready for a great work out!! Beginners are welcome but familiarity with basic yogic postures and Salutations to the Sun is helpful, It is recommended that you are physically fit before joining this class which moves at a brisk pace and know how to listen to their bodies, take breaks as needed and stay out of the ego.

The Introduction to Kundalini Yoga course is offered to those who have been practicing advanced Hatha Yoga for at least three years. Students will be expected to have prepared themselves for spiritual evolution through the purification process of Hatha Yoga. This course introduces the advanced techniques of inner awareness and concentration, and deep meditation on the energy centres known as Chakras. This is in preparation for the awakening of the latent cosmic energy known as Kundalini that rests in the Mooladhara Chakra at the base of the spine. For advanced students only.

All instructors at the Omsense International School of Yoga are extremely proficient and qualified in the divine science of Yoga, and have all lived and studied in India for several years.
