Jan H. Segers, C.H.A., Operations Mentor
Jan Segers is Belgian by birth, and a Canadian citizen. After his formative years working in hotels in Europe, Mr. Segers moved to Canada and joined Canadian National Hotels. He also worked, in Canada, with Hyatt International Hotels and Westin Hotels and Resorts.
Mr. Segers spent over twelve years in various management capacities with Pan Pacific Hotels & Resorts in Canada, Asia and the United States of America, including General Manager of several Hotels/Resorts and Corporate Director of Operations.
After leaving Pan Pacific Mr. Segers was appointed Area General Manager, Cambodia with Raffles International Ltd. He directed the pre and post opening of two Historic Landmark Hotels, Hotel Le Royal, Phnom Penh, and Grand Hotel d’ Angkor, Siem Reap.
Mr. Segers has also consulted with several hotel companies in Canada, the United States of America and Asia as Principal of Lenore Hotel & Resort Management & Consulting, Laguna, C.A. USA. Mr. Segers holds the Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) designation from the American Hotel & Motel Association. Mr. Segers is fluent in several languages including, Dutch, French, and German.
